Portraits of New Zealand Native Birds

Many fine books have been written about New Zealand’s birds. The excellent “The Field guide to the Birds of New Zealand” by Heather and Robinson is a worthy example. There have have also been many excellent books studying the taxonomy, habit and behavior patterns of New Zealand birds.

This book is intended for a different audience. It is aimed at those who, like me, have fallen in love with the bird of New Zealand, and who, like me, seek a greater appreciation of the unfathomable mystery and nature, and foremost, the beauty of our birds. It is dedicated to those whose interest is not with just how many birds they have seen, but how well they have seen them.
